Gavin Williamson has been replaced as education secretary by Nadhim Zahawi and schools minister Nick Gibb has also left his role in Boris Johnson's reshuffle of his cabinet.

Williamson took the post after Johnson's election as prime minister in 2019 and has now been replaced by Zahawi, who has moved on from his previous role as vaccines minister. Read more about the reshuffle in this BBC News article - and here's how Williamson reacted on Twitter.

Gibb has been in his post since 2014, and in a tweet said he was 'sad' to not be continuing as schools minister - check out this Schools Week article for more information. He has been replaced by Robin Walker.
