COP26 follow up - an interview with a climate scientist

COP26 may have ended but the climate change discussion continues!

A good way of using real-life contexts to show students how they can aspire to a career related to climate change is by using video interviews - just like this one featuring climate scientist Dr Sammie Buzzard. She offers plenty of useful insight and explains how maths helps her in her career.

This video is taken from the Advanced Mathematics Support Programme's (AMSP) World of Work project.  The aim of the project is to encourage more students to study a level 3 maths qualification by giving examples of a variety of careers that studying maths can lead onto and not just obvious ones.

Check out the STEM Learning website for hundreds of climate change themed links and resources - and our STEM Ambassadors: Careers in Climate Change exhibition is still open too.

Don't forget to join groups in Community and join in the discussion today.
