Registration for the WorldSkills UK National Competitions is open!

Are you ready to showcase your skills on a national platform?
 
We're excited to announce the launch of our national competitions, with registrations opening TODAY, 26 February.
 
Whether you're a student or an apprentice, this is your chance to put your skills to the test and compete among the best in your field.
 
Our competitions are designed based on international standards and focus on sectors crucial to economic growth. By participating, you'll not only hone your skills but also emerge from your training highly skilled, confident, and ready for the workforce.
 
Here's an overview of the upcoming competition cycle: 
• Registration (26 February – 28 March 2024): Secure their spot in the competitions.
• Entry (April 2024): Start with a remote or online test.
• National Qualifiers (April – 28 June 2024): Benchmark skills locally or online.
• Finalists Announcement (11 July 2024): Celebrate their achievements.
• Training & Development (September – November 2024): Prepare for the National Finals.
• National Finals (November 2024): Showcase skills on a national stage.
• Squad UK: Eligible students can join Squad UK for a chance to compete in WorldSkills Shanghai 2026
 
The national finals will be hosted across various venues in Greater Manchester from November 18 to 22. This is part of our commitment to reach as many young people and employers as possible by taking our national finals on the road.
 
With 49 skills on offer, ranging from Additive Manufacturing to Cooking, there's something for everyone. Additionally, our Foundation Competitions support students at entry and level 1 in skill areas including Horticulture, IT software, and Health and Social Care.
 
Finalists and medallists will be celebrated at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall, showcasing their achievements to a wider audience.
 
Don't miss this incredible opportunity to enhance your skills, build confidence, and compete on a national stage. 
While students can register on their own, we highly recommend that they submit their application through a college, employer or training provider to ensure all required information is provided.
