If you are an ITT/Early Career teacher you may be interested in the first STEM Learning Bites webinar session, 'Top tips for Early Career and student teachers for their first term in school.'  In this one hour session Pat Moore, course leader for PGCE Science at Sheffield Hallam University, will be drawing upon her wealth of experience both in schools and in teacher training, to give crucial help and support to new teachers and help them navigate the first few weeks in their new schools. The webinar will take place on the STEM Community on Thursday 14th October at 4pm for one hour.  Pat will give a presentation and then STEM Community members will be able to join in a follow up discussion.  Follow the link for more details and to sign up.

STEM Learning Bites are a series of 1 hour twilight webinar sessions, aimed at teachers of STEM at all ages and levels, to give them tips and advice on topical issues and to introduce them to new ideas and educational research which could help in the classroom and thereby improve the outcomes for young people.  Future events include:

4th November - Pat Moore discussing how in-school mentors can support Early Career Teachers and ITT students
25th November - Lynne Bianchi - Director, Science and Engineering Education Research at University of Manchester talking about her report, '10 key issues with children's learning in primary science in England'.
