COP26 Daily Bulletins from The Royal Meteorological Society

By Josh Duncan posted 28-10-2021 11:12

Taking place in the UK from 31st October to 12th November, COP26 is set to dominate the press and watercooler chat over the coming weeks as delegates from around the world meet to discuss climate change and international policy.

To help schools, teachers and students digest the information and news coming out of the event, The Royal Meteorological Society will be sharing daily bulletins. There will be two strands to the bulletins:

Video bulletins for schools

Video bulletins will be produced for schools with the intention that they could be shown during morning registration. The bulletins will cover ‘today at COP26’, where The Royal Meteorological Society's Head of Education, Dr Sylvia Knight will help students better understand the messages in the news and coverage on social media that day. These videos will be available each day via their education site MetLink and their YouTube channel.

Daily evening bulletins

Daily bulletins will provide a behind the scenes look at COP26, featuring interviews with delegates and the people of Glasgow. People will need to sign up sign up to receive these direct to their inbox each evening.

Throughout COP26 we will use this thread to discuss the daily bulletins, so please share your thoughts and questions with others.
