Biology and computing teachers sought for focus group on how bioinformatics might fit into the curriculum

Wellcome Connecting Science are looking for biology and computing teachers to take part in a 1 hour online focus group with EMBL's European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) and Wellcome Connecting Science Public Engagement team to think about how bioinformatics might fit into the curriculum. The focus group will take place in July and will be arranged around participants' availability.

EMBL-EBI (www.ebi.ac.uk<http://www.ebi.ac.uk>) is responsible for managing and curating big data from genomics and molecular biology research. Their staff have expertise in a whole range of computing and data skills including big data curation, coding, hardware and user interface design. They're keen to use their skills to support a richer, more relevant curriculum and they want your help to think about how they might do this.

If you would like to help and can spare an hour to take part in an online focus group, please contact rebecca.hurwitz@graphicscience.co.uk by 30th June 2021 to register your interest.
