MiSAC (Microbiology in Schools Advisory Committee) have launched their 2022 competition for KS3 & KS4 students - called 'Microbes made my lunch'!

The aim is to develop an understanding among teenagers of the beneficial role of microbes in food production.

Special sponsorship provides money prizes totalling £1,000 for students and their schools. Each student entrant receives a certificate.

Our Professional Development Leader @Mary Howell posted a link to the competition in the 'Discuss Biology' group, and said: "It would fit in well with quite a few topics in science and make a good cross-curricular connection with Food Tech, Art or other curriculum areas.  Might also be good if you are looking for something curriculum related for towards the end of term or a homework."

The closing date is 4 April 2022 - find more details including how to enter and prizes here.
