Get your students involved in the Ceres Reimagine competition by 21 January!

Ceres in collaboration with STEM Learning UK is launching a science animation competition for secondary schools in the southeast of England.
The aim is to inspire the next generation of innovators and creatives to think about the global climate challenge and to bring their own creativity
to tackling the mission for net zero. We would love to encourage greater diversity of students into science, technology, engineering and maths –
and maybe just find some new ways for STEM and arts to collide and collaborate.

The Hydorgen Animation Challenge 2022

Entrants are asked to submit up to three (3) minutes of video explaining an exciting scientific concept that is relevant to the net zero mission.
This could be an animation, video, an animated PowerPoint or even a storyboard with illustrations and narrative explaining each scene. Ideas for themes:

·       What happens when the wind drops, or the sun goes down? Explain the future role of energy storage, such as hydrogen in keeping power and heating renewable;

·       Hydrogen decarbonises the parts other technologies can't reach. Discuss how industry might use Hydrogen for the production of green fertiliser, steels, building materials etc.

·       Not all fuels are equal. Explain how some alternative fuels and technologies could be used to reduce emissions in the future, to make marine, aviation or even space travel sustainable.
