The Business of Science Conference 2022 will be held at Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh on Wednesday 15th June 2022.

Science and the commercialisation of science continue to be fundamental to the economic growth of the UK and its economy. Following previous successful years in Birmingham (2021), Leeds (2019), Liverpool (2018) and Manchester (2016 & 2017), the Business of Science conference is heading to Edinburgh to highlight that City and the wider region’s successful role in the development of ground-breaking science, innovation and invention.

You can also get young people involved in the Business of Science Innovation Award.

This competition encourages young people to create an imaginative scientific solution to a real world problem, and make a difference to how people live their lives.

This may be a big issue like water shortages or plastic use or a small local one such as how to make recycling easier in your home…the only limit is their imagination!

The Awards are split into Primary, Secondary & 18+. The closing date is 16 May 2022, and the winners will be presented with their Awards during the Conference.

I went to the conference dinner last year, I couldn't make the main conference as I had a prior engagement. I was amazed by the number of local STEM businesses that I'd never heard of, for example world leaders in medical diagnostics on our doorstep. I can recommend going along to network, as well as being involved in the Business of Science Innovation award...
