Discussion of the week (Primary and secondary): STEM Clubs week is coming!!!

By Tim Bradbury posted 18-06-2021 15:38

This week I would like to use my discussion of the week slot to highlight a number of discussions around an important event.

Next week is STEM Clubs week!

So I thought it might be useful for everyone if I collated a list of all of the discussions that have taken place on the community about different STEM Clubs activities, how to set up a STEM club and how a STEM Club can help your school on the road to recovery.  I hope you find them useful!

1. Starting a chemistry club
2. STEM clubs outdoors
3. Funding for clubs
4. Starting a STEM Club
5. How can a STEM club help enrich the road to recovery?

We have loads of activities going on for STEM Clubs week, you can find the details on the event page here.
For more details you can contact @Rachel Collins

Have a magnificent weekend everyone!

Thank you so much for these great ideas. At our (primary) school rather than a club called STEM club, we have decided to run a variety of clubs, a different one each half term focusing on one or more of the STEM subjects (science, DT, computing and maths in primary). For example, coding club, DT skills, tinkerCAD, science fun, outdoor science/DT. We hope to get as many children as possible to the clubs over the course of next year, KS1 and KS2, and they can choose depending on their age and preference. These will all be more or less free to provide, apart from teacher time of course! We may need some bits and pieces from supermarkets but the experiences will be there without a huge cost. We have a supportive parents group too, so may get some time and resources from them.
