I am a STEM Ambassador who, since retirement, has been taking science activities into primary schools. I have a degree in physics and have worked on a wind tunnel, investigated semi-conducting materials, helped develop and install software for computer aided design and have run my own business developing computer systems for engineering factories, commerce and finance. With the advent of Covid-19 I have been working on adapting the activities I have been taking into schools for delivery using the video conferencing app Zoom. My aim has always been to get primary school students enthused by doing practical hands-on science with small groups of pupils.
