Teachers and Year 12 students are invited to enter the exciting new competition: "From Curiosity to Cosmos: What Lights Up Your Love of Physics?".

Encourage your students, in teams of up to three, to unleash their creativity and  showcase "What Lights Up Their Love of Physics“, through a 3-minute video entry.

Engage your students with topics that spark their curiosity, from exploring Net Zero solutions to the dynamic physics behind gaming, saving lives through medical
imaging, and the future of space exploration.

There are amazing prizes to be won!

The top 10 finalist teams will be invited for an overnight visit at Merton College, Oxford, where the Prize Event will be held. They will present their video to the judging panel and participate in a Q&A session. They will also go on a tour of Oxford University’s world-leading Department of Physics.

Each of the 10 finalist teams will receive £600 in Amazon vouchers to share (£400 Amazon vouchers if a single student entry), with £1000 awarded to their School/College for physics equipment. The overall winning team will be announced at the Prize Event and their School/College will be offered funding to take the
winning team on a visit to CERN.

This competition is open to Year 12 students from state schools/colleges in England and the submission deadline is 19 February 2024 at 11.59pm.

Empower your students to see beyond the classroom and understand how physics shapes the world around them. Visit the competition webpage and download the Teacher Guide for a step-by-step guide to entering a team.

Let's make physics come alive together!
