On Wednesday the DfE and NCETM launched a national initiative: Mastering Number. The year-long programme to run in thousands of primary schools from September is aimed at strengthening the understanding of number, and fluency with number facts, among children in the first three years of school.
The programme is fully-funded by the DfE and therefore the following is free to participating schools:
- free professional development
- planning documents
- lesson materials
- maths equipment for schools
