Summer of Computing

Here at the National Centre for Computing Education, we are excited to bring you🌊Summer of Computing 🌞, an exciting programme of CPD events running throughout July and August.

Following the success of last year's Computer Science Accelerator (CSA) in the Summer, we have extended our offer to cater for primary and secondary teachers. With an exciting range of online CPD events and summer schools available, join us for two months of curated courses starting on 1 July, and get 💪CPD-ready 💪this summer!

Secondary

This year CSA in the Summer is back and bigger than ever! With five pathways to choose from and summer schools taking place across the country, there's something for all abilities, from beginner to advanced level.

Primary

New for 2021, our Summer of Computing primary programme includes a range of remote and face to face courses.

Remote

• Primary programming and algorithms
• Introduction to primary computing
• Assessing computational thinking in primary schools (short course)

Face to face

• Primary programming and algorithms
• Introduction to primary computing
• Assessment of primary computing
