Human Cell Atlas Card Game Challenge

By Karen Hornby posted 07-02-2021 10:10

One of our members @Dominic Wilcox would like to share a new challenge for 11-14 year old science or design students based on the Human Cell Atlas - an international science project to map all the cells in the human body.  Children are asked to design a card game using their knowledge of cells and tissues.

The winning team will work with expert game designer Richard Heayes to transform their idea into a manufactured game.

There are free downloadable teaching resources including a video describing the HCA, videos from researchers explaining their scientific work and a video and resources to guide students to create their game idea.

Check out the challenge microsite for all the information and downloadable resources you need to participate. https://hca.littleinventors.org/

The deadline for entry is 1st April, 11.59 PM
For more info on the Human Cell Atlas itself check out https://www.humancellatlas.org/
