Our latest STEM Community Live webinar, AI in Education: Smarter Teaching, Better Learning, brought together 220 members for an engaging discussion on the role of artificial intelligence in education. A big thank you to our expert speakers for sharing their insights on AI-powered teaching tools, ethical considerations, and future developments in AI-driven education.

This session provided members with practical insights and tools to explore AI's potential in the classroom. We also introduced the new AI Sprints project, featuring eight guest speakers, which will take a deeper dive into AI’s impact on teaching, learning, assessment, and safeguarding.

  • AI Sprints Announcement & Introduction – Tim opened the session with an overview of AI in education, followed by Alex More’s announcement of the upcoming AI Sprints project, covering topics such as AI ethics, adaptive teaching, and safeguarding.

  • AI Tools and the ‘Banana Principle’ – Mark Anderson delivered a fascinating segment on AI applications in education, explaining AI terminology and demonstrating the ‘Banana Principle’ (it’s not just what you do, but how you do it!). He also showcased AI image generation

  • Must-Know AI Tools for Educators – A deep dive into tools that are changing the way educators work:

    • Copilot – for prompt saving and management
